MetLife partners with Atmabiswas to provide employee insurance
Atmabiswas, a leading organisation supporting underprivileged and marginalised communities in Bangladesh, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with MetLife Bangladesh to provide insurance coverage for its employees.
Under the agreement, 332 Atmabiswas employees will receive insurance protection for loss of life as well as medical coverage. The organisation selected MetLife for its strong track record in claims settlement, customised solutions, advanced dashboards, cashless outpatient and ambulance services, and financial strength, ensuring faster and hassle-free claim processing.
Established in 1991, Atmabiswas works at the grassroots level to improve the lives and livelihoods of marginalised communities, implementing sustainable projects aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
MetLife Bangladesh currently provides insurance protection to over one million individual customers and 300,000 employees and dependents of more than 900 organisations. In 2024, policyholders received approximately Tk2,895 crore in claims, and over the past five years, MetLife has settled claims exceeding Tk11,400 crore.
The signing ceremony was attended by Akramul Haque Biswas, Executive Director of Atmabiswas, and Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Assistant Managing Director and Chief Corporate Business Officer of MetLife Bangladesh.
