BRAC Bank, MetLife Bangladesh sign agreement for employee insurance

BRAC Bank has entered into a significant partnership with MetLife Bangladesh to provide comprehensive life and medical insurance coverage for its employees and their dependents. This agreement ensures that over 22,000 coworkers and their families are protected against medical expenses, accidents, disabilities, and loss of life.

Insurance coverage for employees and their dependents plays a critical role in fostering a sense of security and loyalty within the workforce. By providing such protection, BRAC Bank aims to mitigate the financial burden on individuals and their families during times of crisis, underscoring the organization's commitment to employee wellbeing.

BRAC Bank selected MetLife as its insurance provider due to the company's proven track record in claims settlement, customized solutions, and financial strength, which facilitates swift and hassle-free claims processing.

The agreement was formalized in a ceremony attended by senior officials from both organizations, including Selim R. F. Hussain, Managing Director and CEO of BRAC Bank, and Ala Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of MetLife Bangladesh.

"Our people are our greatest asset; their wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. With this agreement with MetLife Bangladesh, BRAC Bank continues to demonstrate its dedication to supporting the wellbeing of its people, ensuring they are protected both at work and in their personal lives," said Selim R. F. Hussain.

Ala Ahmad remarked, "As one of the leading banks in Bangladesh, BRAC Bank has set an example in business excellence and employee care. This partnership is part of our ongoing commitment to support organizations in creating a secure and resilient future for their employees."

Established in 2001, BRAC Bank is a leading private commercial bank in Bangladesh, with a strong focus on financing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) while offering a full range of banking services for individuals and corporate clients.

MetLife Bangladesh provides insurance protection to over 1 million individual customers and 900 organizations, having settled claims exceeding 10,500 crore taka in the last six years.
