KMP launches e-traffic fine collection through Community Bank

Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) has officially launched its traffic fine collection service through Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, marking a significant step towards digital governance and service efficiency.

The new system, titled "E-Traffic Prosecution and Fine Collection," was formally inaugurated at a ceremony held on Monday, 14 July 2025, at Khulna Club.

Mr Abu Rayhan Muhammad Saleh, Additional Commissioner of KMP, attended the programme as the Chief Guest. During the event, an agreement was signed between KMP and Community Bank. Mr Saleh signed on behalf of KMP, while Mr Kimiwa Saddat, Managing Director (Current Charge), represented Community Bank.

Following the signing, the dignitaries jointly inaugurated the electronic traffic fine payment system, which aims to streamline the fine collection process, reduce hassles for citizens, and enhance transparency in traffic law enforcement.

Senior KMP officials present at the event included Mr Mohammad Rashidul Islam Khan, BPM (Seba), PPM (Bar), Additional Commissioner; Mr Shudarshan Kumar Ray, Deputy Commissioner (Traffic); Mr Md Shanewaz Khaled, PPM (Seba), DC (Headquarters); Mr Mohammad Tazul Islam, DC (North); Mr Shafiqul Islam, DC (Prosecution); Mr Abul Bashar Mohammad Atiqur Rahman, DC (City SB); and Mr Mohammad Anwar Hossain, DC (DB).

Representing Community Bank were Mr Md Mamun ur Rahman, Head of ADC and MD's Coordination Team; and Mr Md Roqonuzzaman, SAVP and Branch Manager, Khulna Branch. Staff members from the Khulna Branch, Sir Iqbal Road (Kalibari) Sub-Branch, and other senior officials also attended the event.

The collaboration is expected to bring added convenience to residents of Khulna, allowing seamless payment of traffic fines through the Community Bank's platforms and network.
