JKKNIU hosts grand finale of public speaking competition ‘Let’s Talk 3.0’
The grand finale of the public speaking competition "Let's Talk 3.0" was held recently at Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU), organised by the JKKNIU Skill Development Club (JKKNIU-SDC). The event aimed to enhance students' public speaking, leadership, and presentation skills, bringing together eight finalists who showcased their talents on stage.
The evening culminated with the announcement of the winners, celebrated with thunderous applause from peers and mentors. Md Naim Ahmed Rahi (Department of Management, 2022–23) was crowned Champion for his compelling delivery and strong stage presence. Md Hasibul Hoque Khan Arko (Department of Anthropology, 2022–23) secured the position of First Runner-up, while Ashka Alam (Department of Philosophy, 2023–24) was named Second Runner-up for her clarity and elegance in speech.
Speaking at the closing session, JKKNIU-SDC President Md Mostakim expressed his pride, "Being able to organise Let's Talk 3.0 successfully is a matter of pride for us. With this, our current committee has completed six events. For everything, we are deeply grateful to the Almighty. Our mission is to create opportunities for students to develop their skills, build confidence, and practise leadership — and we will continue moving forward with this vision."

Highlighting the purpose of the programme he added, "The main goal of Let's Talk is to build students' confidence, make them proficient in public speaking, and cultivate leadership qualities. We want our students to share their ideas and thoughts without fear, because communication is the very first step of leadership."
Looking ahead, he outlined an ambitious plan, "We want to carry forward Let's Talk as a continuous initiative. In the coming years, we plan to expand the programme on a larger scale with new ideas and formats. Our dream is for Let's Talk to become not just a platform for JKKNIU students, but also an inspiration for students across universities in Bangladesh."
The finale concluded with an atmosphere of energy and inspiration, as Let's Talk 3.0 marked another milestone in JKKNIU-SDC's journey of empowering students through skill development and leadership practice.
