JKKNIU hosts central iftar mahfil in Trishal
Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) in Trishal, Mymensingh, organised a central iftar mahfil attended by students, teachers, officials, and staff. Nearly 6,000 people participated in the event.
In the evening, all departments distributed food packages to students. Teachers, officials, and staff subsequently gathered at the auditorium in the new arts building.
Chief guest Dr Md Mahabubur Rahman, Member of Parliament for Mymensingh-07 and a syndicate member of the university, said, "We started from scratch, and now a significant number of faculties are in place. My sincere thanks to everyone for maintaining a calm and cooperative campus environment. I have observed that the number of teachers is lower than the number of students. Hopefully, this issue will be addressed by the new government."
Special guest Professor Dr Md Zainul Abedin Siddique said, "This is the first time we have successfully organised a programme of such scale, thanks to everyone involved. We have worked together under the guidance of the honourable Member of Parliament and syndicate member Dr Md Mahabubur Rahman."
Deans, the proctor, the registrar, and department heads were present at the programme. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Jahangir Alam presided over the event.
