IUT Career Expo connects students with prospective employers
The Islamic University of Technology hosted its sixth Career Expo on 18 August, bringing together students, alums and corporate representatives for career development and professional networking.
The Islamic University of Technology Career and Business Society, in collaboration with the IUT Alumni Association, organised the event and featured 25 stalls representing different industries, according to a press release.
Students met recruiters and explored career opportunities across several sectors.
The expo also featured four employer branding sessions led by Berger, City Bank, Robi and Summit, offering insights into workplace cultures, recruitment processes and professional growth opportunities.
Industry professionals joined a panel discussion on navigating early career stages, changes in the job market and the skills employers value.
Graduating students could also submit their CVs directly to participating companies for potential internships and employment opportunities.
The expo included interactive games and prizes for participating students.
The IUT vice-chancellor said the Career Expo helped bridge the gap between academic learning and professional development.
"I am proud of the dedication shown by IUTCBS and our alumni network in making this sixth edition a success," the vice-chancellor said.
The organisers thanked the alum association, participating companies, faculty members, volunteers and students for supporting the event.
