IFIPLC names S M Bakhtiar Alam as Chairman
Mr S M Bakhtiar Alam has been elected Chairman of Islamic Finance and Investment PLC (IFIPLC) at the company's 366th Board meeting held at its head office in Dhaka.
A Sponsor Director of IFIPLC, Mr Alam previously chaired the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, and the Audit Committee.
Mr Alam holds an MSc (with BSc Honours) from the University of Dhaka, where he is a Life Registered Graduate.

He is a permanent member of Dhaka Club, former Chairman and founding Treasurer of Eastern University, and currently serves on its Board of Trustees.
He is a patron of several educational and social organisations, former Chairman of the non-profit HEAL Bangladesh Foundation, and a Chartered Member of the Bangladesh Liberation War Museum.
