IFIC Bank, Cumilla City Corporation partner to modernise citizen services
IFIC Bank PLC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cumilla City Corporation to enhance service delivery and expand access to modern banking services, the bank stated.
The MoU was signed on Tuesday, 3 March 2026, at the Atindra Mohan Roy Conference Room of Cumilla City Corporation. In the presence of Md Rafiqul Islam, deputy managing director and chief credit officer of IFIC Bank, the agreement was signed by Helal Ahmed, chief of branch business, on behalf of the bank, and by Md Shah Alam, administrator of Cumilla City Corporation and additional secretary to the government, on behalf of the city corporation.
Md Farid Al Mahmud, regional head and branch manager of Cumilla for IFIC Bank, and Mohammad Mamun, chief executive officer of Cumilla City Corporation, were also present, along with other officials from both organisations.
Under the agreement, Cumilla residents will be able to pay city corporation taxes and fees through IFIC Bank. The bank stated that the move will make service delivery more seamless, transparent, and efficient, and will support financial inclusion and technology-enabled public services.
