Had Sheikh Hasina not been granted permission to land, the situation would have been different: Dinesh Trivedi
Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi stated that India had no other option at the time but to grant Sheikh Hasina permission to enter the country. He mentioned that Hasina was flown to India on a Bangladeshi military aircraft. He also noted that it was not possible to specify a timeframe for her return, as legal proceedings regarding the matter were underway. Regarding relations between the two nations, Trivedi remarked that decisions concerning the relationship with Bangladesh rest with the people and government of Bangladesh.
