Hult Prize Brac University names project nirbaan champion
The Hult Prize at BRAC University 2025 Grand Finale was held on 27 December, bringing together more than 380 students from 126 teams in a competitive showcase of youth-led social innovation.
After multiple rounds of evaluation, Project Nirbaan emerged as the champion for its practical, impact-driven and sustainability-focused solution.
Project Nirbaan presented a biodegradable, plant-based pest control and air freshener solution aimed at addressing health safety concerns and environmental sustainability. The judges recognised the project for its market relevance, feasibility and alignment with global sustainability goals.
Triple F Gang secured the first runner-up position with its biodegradable tableware made from betel nut and betel leaves, offering an environmentally friendly alternative to single-use plastic products. Team GreenSynq became the second runner-up with an Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart waste management solution designed to improve efficiency and accountability in waste handling systems.
The Hult Prize at BRAC University continues to serve as a platform for empowering young innovators to develop solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The competition encourages students to transform ideas into scalable ventures, reinforcing BRAC University's commitment to social impact, innovation and responsible entrepreneurship.
