HR leaders join Uttara University summit to guide students on future careers
Uttara University marked World Human Resource Day 2026 with the UU HR Summit at its Multipurpose Hall on 20 May, gathering HR executives, corporate leaders, and students to discuss the future of HR.
The summit, coordinated by the university's Office of External Affairs and the School of Business, in partnership with FBHRO, and sponsored by Guardian Life Insurance Limited, highlighted cross-sector collaboration.
With the theme 'Where Future Leaders Meet Industry Icons,' the event focused on academia-industry partnership, emerging HR dynamics, sector-specific challenges, and workforce development.
Executives from top financial, telecoms, IT, recruitment, insurance, and manufacturing firms participated.

Professor Dr Musharrof Hossain, Founder President and HR Advisor, icddr,b, delivered the keynote address. Top corporate leaders and industry specialists then shared their analyses.
Speakers offered industry perspectives to students and explored strategies to equip graduates for the evolving labour market.
Speaking as the chief guest, Professor Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha, Vice Chancellor of Uttara University, emphasised the university's mission to bridge the gap between academic theory and corporate practice.

Professor Dr A S M Shahabuddin, Director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Uttara University, hosted and moderated the event.
The university stated that the summit enabled students to engage directly with corporate leaders and gain practical guidance on career planning, networking, and future opportunities in human resources.
