Remians Cultural Club starts initiative to encourage cultural awareness
Remians Cultural Club, the official cultural organisation of Dhaka Residential Model College, has launched "Cultural Dialogue", a new online talk show to boost cultural awareness, promote social harmony, and spark critical discussion among students.
Led by Nahiyan Zaman Sammo, President of Remians Cultural Club and Cultural Prefect at Dhaka Residential Model College, the initiative highlights the club's commitment to vibrant cultural discourse.
The show features conversations with student cultural leaders and emerging voices, tackling contemporary issues and exploring Bangladesh's artistic, literary, and intellectual heritage.
The club says the programme reflects its dedication to nurturing cultural consciousness and fostering respectful, constructive dialogue on topics shaping Bangladesh's cultural identity.
The first episode of "Cultural Dialogue" airs Thursday, 21 May 2026, at 9:30pm on Remians Cultural Club's bulletins and digital platforms.
The inaugural episode will feature a discussion between Walid Hassan Rahim, President of Dhaka College Cultural Club, and Lamia Sikder Ruha, Assistant Central Club Prefect of Adamjee Cantonment College Kothashilpo Club.
They will discuss "Where Do We Stand Amid the Clash Between Modernity and Tradition?" and examine the relationship between modern values and traditional foundations in contemporary Bangladeshi society.
Commenting on the project, Nahiyan Zaman Sammo stressed that culture is vital for mutual understanding, social harmony, and national unity.
He hopes "Cultural Dialogue" will be a platform for reflection and conversation, motivating youth to engage more deeply with Bangladesh's cultural realities and aspirations.
With this initiative, Remians Cultural Club aims to promote creativity, cultural literacy, discussion, and social harmony within the student community and beyond.
