Honor launches world’s slimmest foldable phone in Bangladesh
HONOR has redefined smartphone engineering by launching the world's slimmest foldable phone, the Magic V5, in Bangladesh.
Measuring just 4.1mm when unfolded and 8.8mm when folded, and weighing only 217 grams, the device combines portability with style. The Magic V5 has also set a Guinness World Record for durability by lifting 104kg while suspended.
The Magic V5 was unveiled at a launch event on August 24, 2025, at the Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel, attended by HONOR officials and representatives from corporate partners.

The Magic V5 features a 7.95-inch inner display and a 6.43-inch outer screen, with advanced hinge engineering ensuring a crease-resistant fold even with frequent use. Both displays are 120Hz LTPO OLED panels, offering a smooth visual experience. The device also carries IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, it offers up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, backed by a 5,820mAh battery — the world's first mass-produced silicon-carbon battery with 25% silicon content. It supports 66W wired and 50W wireless HONOR SuperCharge.
For photography, the HONOR AI Falcon Camera System features a 64MP periscope telephoto lens, a 50MP wide-angle camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera, all supported by advanced AI image processing for superior imaging.
The Magic V5 comes in a base model (16GB RAM + 512GB storage). Customers can pre-order the device by visiting authorized HONOR retailers or the official website from now until August 30, 2025. Upon completing the pre-order and purchasing the phone during this period, customers will receive complimentary HONOR Choice Headphones Pro and a HONOR SuperCharge 100W wireless charger stand. Interest-free EMI plans of up to 12 months are also available for pre-order customers.
Alongside the foldable launch, HONOR also introduced the Pad 10 tablet (8GB RAM + 256GB storage), powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen chip and a 10,100mAh battery with 35W SuperCharge support. At 525g and 6.29mm thin, it comes with a Smart Stylus pen, designed for productivity and ease of use.
