Hamdard celebrates Dr Hakim Md Yusuf Harun Bhuiyan’s birthday

Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh organised a special programme to mark the birthday of its chief motawalli and managing director, Dr Hakim Md Yusuf Harun Bhuiyan, also the founder of Hamdard University Bangladesh. The event, held on Saturday, 1 March, at its Banglamotor headquarters, featured a complete Quran recitation, discussion session, prayers, and supplications for his health and long life.

Representatives from Hamdard University Bangladesh, Hamdard Public College, Rowshan Jahan Eastern Medical College and Hospital, Hamdard General Hospital, and other affiliated institutions paid floral tributes. The event was attended by Prof Hakim Kamrun Nahar Harun, adviser of Hamdard University Bangladesh, and Ekushey Padak-winning physician Prof Dr Iqbal Hasan Mahmud. Other notable guests included Senior Director (Finance and Accounts) Anisul Haque, Director (Marketing and Sales) Hakim Saifuddin Murad, Director (Information and Public Relations) Amirul Momenin Manik, and Indian physician Dr Monowar Hossain Kazmi.

Speakers highlighted Dr Hakim Md Yusuf Harun Bhuiyan's remarkable contributions to Hamdard's growth. Starting with just Tk50,000, Hamdard has become a leading healthcare and educational institution, also playing a key role in humanitarian efforts.
