Group unit wins south asian business excellence award 2025
Trade International Industries Limited, the manufacturing arm of Electro Mart Group, has been named Best Manufacturer of the Year (Electronics), receiving the 2025 South Asian Business Excellence Award.
The award was presented by former Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena to the Group's Deputy Managing Director, Md Nurul Afser, at the 9th South Asian Partnership Summit, held recently in Colombo. The accolade recognises outstanding contributions to industry and business across seven South Asian countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, and Pakistan.
Electro Mart Group first introduced Konka and Gree electronics and home appliances to the Bangladeshi market, later expanding from trading to manufacturing in response to strong consumer demand. Since 2018, the company has manufactured Konka and Gree products, as well as its own brand, Haiko, at its Narayanganj facility.

Through technology-sharing with China, the Group now manufactures a wide range of eco-friendly and advanced electronics for local consumers. Konka's appliance line includes refrigerators, freezers, LED TVs, washing machines, ovens, and kitchen devices, while Gree's product range encompasses ceiling, wall, cassette, VRF, ducted, and chiller air conditioners, portable units, air purifiers, and cooling solutions.
Deputy Managing Director Md Nurul Afser stated that the recognition brings increased responsibility. "We extend our deep gratitude to our customers, well-wishers, buyers, and consumers for their unwavering trust and confidence," he said.
