Grameenphone, Teletalk and EDOTCO ink tower-sharing pact to widen coverage

Grameenphone, state-owned Teletalk and tower company EDOTCO Bangladesh have signed a tripartite infrastructure-sharing agreement to expand mobile coverage and improve service quality across the country.
Under the collaboration, EDOTCO will provide tower infrastructure to both operators, enabling faster roll-out, better operational efficiency and enhanced network accessibility for millions of users by reducing duplication and accelerating site deployment.
The agreement was signed by Yasir Azman, Chief Executive Officer, Grameenphone; Nurul Mabud Chowdhury, Managing Director, Teletalk; and Sunil Isaac, Country Managing Director, EDOTCO Bangladesh. Also present were Tanveer Mohammad, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Grameenphone; Asif Naimur Rashid, Chief Business Officer, Grameenphone; S M Luthfullahil Mozid, Deputy General Manager (Regulatory and Corporate Relations), Teletalk; and Kazi Ayon Adnan, Key Account Manager, EDOTCO Bangladesh, alongside senior officials from the three organisations.
"Customers are at the heart of everything we do… This collaboration will help us strengthen our network coverage and improve the quality of services we deliver every day," said Yasir Azman.
Nurul Mabud Chowdhury said the partnership would help Teletalk expand efficiently while keeping services affordable nationwide.
Calling it a "significant industry milestone", Sunil Isaac said the tower-sharing model optimises national telecom resources, lowers the cost of expansion and improves Quality of Service, supporting Bangladesh's digital transformation goals.
The partnership underscores a shared commitment to a digitally inclusive Bangladesh, extending reliable connectivity and digital services to more people.
