Grameenphone launches nationwide ai idea competition for students

Grameenphone has announced the launch of FutureMakers, its first nationwide idea competition designed to empower university students to showcase their creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills using artificial intelligence (AI).
The initiative is designed to inspire young people to design impactful solutions to real-world challenges and demonstrate how technology can shape a better future.
Open to all university students in Bangladesh, FutureMakers offers participants exposure to industry leaders, a platform to gain real-world experience, and an opportunity to contribute to solutions with tangible impact. The initiative positions Grameenphone as a future-ready employer committed to celebrating innovation, empowering young people, and strengthening its ties with universities.
Participants can register online with a valid student ID by visiting the official FutureMakers competition website. Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges comprising industry experts, startup representatives, and Grameenphone leaders.
"Through FutureMakers, we are creating a platform that encourages the youth to push the boundaries of innovation using AI. This competition reflects our commitment to nurturing the next generation of changemakers and building future leaders who can thrive in a digital world," said Sayeda Tahya Hossain, chief human resource officer of Grameenphone.
Winners will receive prize money, mentorship opportunities, and a fast-track pathway to Grameenphone's flagship programmes. The competition will be hosted at universities and Grameenphone facilities nationwide, with the finale scheduled for the first week of November.
