FSIB elects new communication head

 Khairul Hasan, CSAA, has been appointed Head of the Public Affairs and Brand Communication Division at First Security Islami Bank PLC. 

Earlier, he worked in various divisions and branches, including the 'Brand and Communication' and 'Business Promotion and Marketing' divisions of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC for over 13 years. After completing his Honours and Master's degrees in English from Jahangirnagar University, Md Khairul Hasan began his career by joining the Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).

After that, he worked in several local and international organisations, including BRAC University and South Asia Foundation-Bangladesh Chapter. He obtained an MBA from the Bangladesh University of Professionals, Kamil (Master's), under the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board, and an LLB degree from the National University. Additionally, he obtained a 'Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor' (CSAA) fellowship from the Bahrain-based Accounting and Auditing Organisation for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAIOFI), an international standards setter for the Islamic finance industry. 

Mr Khairul Hasan, 'Diplomaed Associate' of The Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh, has obtained various professional degrees, including an Islamic Banking Diploma. In addition to his job, he is a regular writer on Islamic economics and various contemporary issues. Several of his books, including "Corporate Writing," have already been appreciated by readers. He has served in multiple social and cultural organisations, including the positions of elected President and General Secretary of the Jahangirnagar University Journalists' Association. He was born in a Muslim family in Santhia under the Pabna district.
