Fair Electronics achieved the green factory award 2025

Fair Electronics, the local manufacturer of Samsung and Hisense mobile phones and consumer electronics, has been awarded the Green Factory Award 2025 by the Ministry of Labour and Employment for its outstanding environmental practices in the electronics manufacturing industry.

The award was presented at a ceremony in Dhaka, where Mr Mutassim Daiaan, Director of Fair Group, received the accolade from Advisers Brig Gen (Rtd) M. Sakhawat Hussain and Adilur Rahman Khan and Secretary A H M Shafiquzzaman of the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
Fair Electronics' state-of-the-art facility in Shibpur, Narsingdi, employs hundreds of skilled Bangladeshi workers and adheres to global environmental standards, including ISO 14001:2015. The factory conducts regular ecological risk assessments and staff training programmes and implements green policies to ensure sustainable production.

As one of 30 factories from 16 sectors selected nationwide, Fair Electronics has been recognised for its commitment to energy efficiency, environmental compliance, waste management, and safe workplace practices. The company is the first in Bangladesh to manufacture global brands such as Samsung and Hisense under international compliance frameworks.

"This award reaffirms our vision of a greener, smarter Bangladesh through industrial innovation and sustainability," said Mutassim Daiaan. "We are proud to represent the electronics sector in this year's Green Factory Awards, and we remain committed to global standards in eco-friendly manufacturing."

Senior Fair Group officials, including Dr Selim Reza, Director, Legal, Estate and Regulatory Affairs; Mr Alak Chakraborty, DGM HR; and Mr Maruf Hasan Bhuiyan, DGM, Corporate and Regulatory Affairs, also attended the award ceremony.

The Green Factory Award 2025 highlights exemplary manufacturing units across various sectors, including garments, leather, pharmaceuticals, food, and steel, for their contributions to advancing sustainable industrial practices.
