Evitex Apparels Limited achieves Gold Certification

Evitex Apparels Limited, a concern of Evince Group, has achieved LEED v4.1 Gold Certification under the Operations and Maintenance category as of June 2025, marking another milestone in Bangladesh's green transition in the ready-made garment (RMG) sector.
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold rating stands as a testament to Evince Group's continued commitment to sustainability, ethical production, and environmental stewardship. With this latest recognition, the Group strengthens its position as a key contributor to Bangladesh's growing reputation as a global leader in sustainable garment manufacturing.
Shah Rayeed Chowdhury, Director of Evince Group and Director of BGMEA, stated, "BGMEA has developed a Sustainability Vision 2030 aligned with the SDGs. Through our active efforts, we aim to offer a greener and more productive RMG industry. Evince aspires to be among the pioneers leading this transformation."
Shah Adeeb Chowdhury, Director of Evince Group, added, "We already hold Platinum certification for Evitex Dress Shirt Ltd, and now Gold for Evitex Apparel. Our vision is to have all our concerns LEED certified. Sustainability is no longer optional—it's the only way forward.
We look forward to collaborating with BGMEA to promote ethical sourcing and achieve the SDG targets."
Bangladesh currently leads the world in green garment manufacturing, with 105 Platinum-rated and 129 Gold-rated factories. Of the world's top 100 LEED-certified RMG factories, 68 are based in Bangladesh—including 9 of the top 10.
Evince Group's achievement with Evitex Apparels adds momentum to the national movement toward greener industrialisation, as global buyers increasingly prioritise sustainability in sourcing decisions. With over 248 LEED-certified factories to date, Bangladesh continues to set the benchmark for environmentally responsible production in the global apparel sector.
