Dreamers Academy brings coding education to remote char areas

A new chapter of hope has begun for underprivileged children living in the remote char areas of the Jamuna River, as Dreamers Academy, with support from Human Concern USA, has launched a modern computer lab in Shushua village to bring digital education and coding skills to marginalised young people long deprived of access to technology.
The project began in August 2025 with the construction of the lab, which is now fully equipped with eleven laptops, projectors, an IPS and an internet connection, making it a self-sufficient digital learning centre. The initiative will provide basic computer literacy and coding training to children aged ten to fourteen, opening doors to new opportunities in the digital world.
The inauguration ceremony was held on 5 October 2025 in Shushua village, attended by Sharif Ahmed, Co-founder of Dreamers Academy, Mominur Rahman, President of Shushua Welfare Association, local volunteers and community members.
"We believe technology can be a powerful equaliser," said Sharif Ahmed, Co-founder of Dreamers Academy. "Through this project, we hope to empower children from rural and underserved areas to dream big and shape a better future for themselves and their communities."
As classes begin, twenty young learners have already started their journey into the world of computers and coding – turning what was once a distant dream into a tangible reality.
With initiatives like this, Dreamers Academy envisions a future-ready Bangladesh where every child, regardless of background, can dream, learn and lead in the digital age.
