Dhaka Bank runs financial literacy & career counselling at IUB

Dhaka Bank PLC. hosted an interactive "Financial Literacy & Career Counselling Program" for students at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), in collaboration with IUB's Office of Career Guidance, Placement & Alumni Relations (CGP&AR).
Led by Md. Mostaque Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director, the session covered smart money habits, goal setting, and early career planning, encouraging students to align aspirations with disciplined financial management and practical growth strategies.
Professor Daniel Wesley Lund, Pro-Vice Chancellor, addressed the gathering, underscoring how financial literacy drives responsible decisions, independence, and long-term stability for youth.
Senior leaders from Dhaka Bank—including H.M. Mostafizur Rahman (SEVP & Head of Retail Business), Md. Shofiur Rahman (SVP & Deputy Head, HR), Syed Ghulam Dastagir (SVP & Head, Communication & Branding), Shams Rumana Rimi (VP & Manager, Bashundhara Branch), and Mohammad Saifur Rahman (SAVP & Head, Student Banking)—were in attendance.
Following the event, Dhaka Bank kicked off a three-day Student Banking Campaign (14–16 October 2025*) on campus, offering instant digital account opening and introducing a suite of youth-focused financial products and services tailored to students' academic and professional journeys.
The program embodied the theme "Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders with Financial Confidence," reinforcing Dhaka Bank's commitment to financial literacy, meaningful youth engagement, and an inclusive financial ecosystem.
