DBH Finance’s half-year profit rises 32%
DBH Finance PLC reported a 32% year-on-year rise in net profit after tax to Tk55.65 crore in the first half of 2026.
For the six months ended 30 June, the housing finance company's earnings per share rose to Tk2.74 from Tk2.07 in the corresponding period last year, according to a press release.
Net interest income increased by 44% during the period, while operating income grew by 6.5%.
As at 30 June, the company's net asset value per share stood at Tk50.79.
DBH Finance said its non-performing loans remained below 1% of its total loan portfolio, among the lowest levels in the industry.
The company also said it had retained an AAA credit rating for 21 consecutive years.
At the end of June, DBH Finance's loan portfolio stood at approximately Tk4,461.60 crore, while its deposit portfolio amounted to about Tk4,398 crore.
The company operates 18 branches, each covering a divisional headquarters. It provides housing finance through its conventional operations and Islamic Finance Wing.
DBH Finance also invites retail and corporate customers to place term and Mudaraba deposits.
