CUET VC stresses need for human values in tech-driven future

Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) 's Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, said that lifestyles significantly change in a rapidly changing world.
In this situation, we must move forward in a technology-based life while maintaining human values. The previous three industrial revolutions have made people's lives and livelihoods easier.
The perspective of the fourth industrial revolution has emerged with diverse ideas, innovations, possibilities, and many challenges. Artificial intelligence and robotics will further increase production, especially in many workplaces. However, the changing fields and needs of people's work will have to be met. This will require research, innovation, and new ideas.
Therefore, joint initiatives between universities and industrial institutions are significant. Higher educational institutions must conduct research and create a skilled workforce to face new challenges in changing circumstances.
