Community Bank, Interport shine on Ascent Cup day two

A flurry of high-scoring matches marked the second day of the Ascent Cup, as Community Bank, Interport, Garda Shield, Max Secure and Selise Bangladesh delivered commanding performances to secure emphatic victories.

Community Bank began their Championship League campaign with a resounding 7–2 victory over tournament newcomers Kazi Food Industries. Akash netted five goals, while Shafiqul and Prosenjit added one each. Shoeb and Dipu provided consolation goals for Kazi Food Industries.

Interport delivered one of the tournament's most decisive results, dispatching Opas Communications 8–0. Mishu and Zian each scored hat-tricks, while Bappy and Fayed contributed a goal apiece. Although Opas Communications showed determination in their debut, Interport maintained dominance throughout.

Garda Shield overpowered Optimizely 9–1 with a relentless attacking display. Arif and Asaf both scored four goals, with notable finishes including Arif's strike from a difficult angle and Asaf's effort from distance. Ashfaq was also on target for Garda Shield, while Yanaan scored Optimizely's sole goal.

Max Secure cruised past tournament debutants SSL Wireless 6–0, showcasing composure and teamwork. Estiak opened the scoring with a midfield strike and set up Fardin for a hat-trick. Sadaf added a goal following a solo run, while Rahat completed the tally.

Apparels Village Limited, the 2024 champions, outclassed defending champions Petromax Refinery 5–1 in the day's opening Premier League fixture. Rony delivered a hat-trick, all from corner kicks, while Moshiur and Razon also found the net. Tuhin and Akash provided assists. Shakib scored the only goal for Petromax Refinery.

Green Delta Insurance posted a commanding 6–0 win over Millennium Certis. Sabit scored a hat-trick, Shafkat contributed a brace, and Noman rounded off the scoring. Millennium Certis showed resilience despite the margin of defeat.

Bando Design narrowly defeated Sports24 BD 3–2 in a tightly contested encounter. Azan put Sports24 BD ahead before Moin levelled for Bando Design. Shajal regained the lead for Sports24 BD, but Shakil's brace, including a powerful strike and a deflected shot, secured victory for Bando Design.

InfoTitan, an experienced Ascent Cup contender, overwhelmed tournament newcomers Sentry Security Services 8–0. Niloy and Hridoy each scored twice, with Rion, Rubel, Mahir and Nadim also contributing goals. Sentry Security Services' goalkeeper produced notable saves to keep the scoreline in check.

Apical Garments edged Dotkom.io 4–3 in a tightly fought match. Abdullah scored twice for Apical Garments, with Ainal and Sagor adding one each. Dotkom.io replied through Tahmid and two goals from Muhib, but Apical Garments withstood late pressure to secure the win.

Foodpanda Bangladesh edged Incepta 3–2 in a fast-paced contest. Sifat opened the scoring and later assisted Latif, while Ishtiaq added a third. Incepta responded through Rakib and captain Kamrul, but Foodpanda Bangladesh maintained their composure to seal victory.

NEO Zipper posted a 3–1 win over tournament sponsors Securex Limited. Ibrahim scored twice and Ishak added a third. Shihab briefly levelled for Securex Limited, but NEO Zipper reasserted control to close out the match.

Selise Bangladesh closed the day with a 7–0 victory over tournament debutants Falcon Security Limited. Zia struck a hat-trick, Shoeb scored twice, and Farhan and Asif added one each. Falcon Security Limited displayed determination, but Selise Bangladesh's finishing and cohesion proved decisive.
