Chief Adviser praises BREB, PBSs for Ramadan electricity success
The Honourable Chief Adviser of the Interim Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has extended his heartfelt thanks to all electricity distribution organisations, including the Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB), for ensuring uninterrupted power supply throughout the holy month of Ramadan. He conveyed his appreciation on 20 April 2025 at his official residence, Jamuna.
In recognition of this achievement, sincere congratulations have been extended to all involved in what is the country's largest electricity distribution operation. The success has been termed a collective accomplishment.
Despite limited resources, efficient use of electricity and public awareness have played a vital role. To promote electricity conservation and address the challenges of power generation, sermons were delivered across mosques nationwide, emphasising responsible electricity use. Additionally, informative leaflets and stickers were distributed across the country to raise awareness about safe electricity usage.

Ensuring uninterrupted electricity to consumers is a moral and professional duty of public service employees. This success has been made possible through the dedicated efforts of officials and staff from BREB and 80 Palli Bidyut Samities (PBSs).
To maintain the continuity of safe and reliable power supply, the Chairman of BREB has urged all employees of the BREB and PBS family to remain committed and united in their efforts.
