CA golfers and corporate tour host 2nd CA Bangladesh cup in Dhaka
The second CA Bangladesh Cup Golf Tournament 2026 concluded at Jolshiri Golf Club in Dhaka on 7 February, uniting chartered accountants and golf enthusiasts from across the country.
The tournament was initiated by CA Golfers and organised by Corporate Tour. Organisers said the event aims to promote golf as a platform for professional engagement and leadership networking.
Eighty-eight golfers participated in a double shotgun start.
CA Bangladesh was the title sponsor, with Accfintax, City Bank PLC and Summit Communications Limited serving as platinum sponsors. Amann Bangladesh Limited, Sonargaon Steel Limited and Amin Mohammad Agro Limited were among the additional sponsors.
NKA Mobin FCA, president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), attended as chief guest. He was joined by A F Nesaruddin FCA, former ICAB president; Md Rokonuzzaman FCA, ICAB vice-president; and Air Commodore (retd) Abu Bakar FCA.
The tournament was convened by Md Tahsin H Chowdhury ACA, with Sourav S Saha ACA as co-convener. Syed Atif Farhan Elahi and other members of CA Golfers were also present.
City Bank continued as a platinum sponsor for a second consecutive year. Md Mahbubur Rahman, additional managing director and chief financial officer of City Bank, attended both the tournament and the closing ceremony.
Ahmed Humayun Murshed, founder of Accfintax, and Major General (retd) Monirul Islam Akhand of Summit Group also participated. Aminul Haque Nabil, managing director of Amin Mohammad Lands Development Limited and Sonargaon Steel, was present as well, according to organisers.
On the course, Md Mohiuddin claimed victory with a gross score of 42. Playing off an effective handicap of nine, he posted a net score of 33, organisers said.
The tournament was supported by partners such as Bruvana, Master Chef Subrat Ali Catering Service, Drinkin' and Ventro. Media partners included Ekhon Television, Bonik Barta, Jai Jai Din, GolfHouse, Golf News TV, The Graduates and The Business Standard.
