Building materials marketing fest 4.0 emphasises realism, resilience
Bangladesh's building materials industry is undergoing structural change, operational pressure and evolving leadership dynamics.
Against this backdrop, Building Materials Marketing Fest 4.0 was held as a practice-oriented industry platform focused on real market challenges and long-term resilience.
Organised by Brand Practitioners Bangladesh, the programme was conducted under the theme 'Smarter Brands, Resilient Structures'. From the outset, the fourth edition of the fest was designed as a discussion-centric initiative, prioritising market realities, experience-driven insights and long-term thinking over promotional narratives.
The day-long programme featured eight in-depth discussion sessions examining how Bangladesh's building materials market functions in practice, how demand is generated, the impact of leadership decisions on operations and how smarter strategic thinking can contribute to building sustainable and resilient businesses.
A key strength of the event was its emphasis on candid industry dialogue. Open, experience-based discussions covered market exploration, operational discipline, leadership decision-making, strategic alignment and future readiness. Manufacturers, marketers, architects, engineers, developers and senior decision-makers participated, sharing perspectives grounded in real market dynamics.
Highlighting the importance of such platforms, Khourshed Alam, chief operating officer, AkijBashir Group, said the industry currently needs disciplined and realistic conversations more than ever. He noted that initiatives like this help create shared understanding among stakeholders, which is essential for responsible decision-making and long-term progress.
Mirza Mohammad Ileush, founder and managing director, Brand Practitioners Bangladesh, said Building Materials Marketing Fest 4.0 was designed as a neutral and practical space for the industry. He said the objective was to help participants understand how the market actually operates and how systematic, smarter decisions can lead to more resilient outcomes in the future.
Alongside the event, the eighth edition of Business Brillianz magazine was unveiled, featuring stories of six next-generation entrepreneurs from Bangladesh's building materials industry who are carrying forward legacy while shaping the sector's future.
The event was supported by platinum partners Partex Board and AkijBashir Cables. Strategic partners included Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers and Exporters Association and Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh. Category partners were Partex Door, Anwar Cement Sheet and Sasomi, while Business Brillianz served as publication partner.
Hospitality and experience support was provided by Kazi and Kazi Tea, Bakeman's, Mojo and Maggi.
The programme concluded with a gala dinner where participants continued informal discussions and reflected on insights generated throughout the sessions.
