BUFT hosts Hult Prize 2025 Grand Final and National Entrepreneurship Expo

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) proudly hosted the Hult Prize 2025 Grand Final and opened the two-day National Entrepreneurship Expo on January 28, 2025. The event, running until January 29, 2025, features 35 stalls showcasing entrepreneurial ventures and products from 13 universities. The expo is sponsored by Nestle and Savora, with support from Lalamove, Aryan Fashion, and PeopleNTech.

The event highlighted the Hult Prize Grand Final, where competing teams aimed to represent BUFT at the Regional Summits and compete for the $1 million global prize.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of BUFT's Board of Trustees, and Guest of Honor Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Acting Vice Chancellor. Prof. Md. Muinuddin Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, served as the Master of Ceremony.

A distinguished panel of judges, including BUFT faculty members and industry leaders, assessed the innovative solutions presented by participants. The panel included Prof. Dr. S. M. Akterujjaman, Head of the Business Administration Department; Dr. Md. Kamrul Hasan, Professor of Business Administration; Mr. Andi M Rizki, Managing Director of Lalamove; and entrepreneur Mr. Md. Ashraful Hoque.

The Grand Final featured six outstanding teams, with Team Denim Revive crowned Champion, Team CantroMantro as the 1st Runner-up, and Team Viscose as the 2nd Runner-up. All three teams will represent BUFT at the Regional Summits.

The BUFT National Entrepreneurship Expo provided a platform for young entrepreneurs to share their stories and ideas, further strengthening BUFT's commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
