BRAC’s Asif Saleh joins WEF Global Future Council on Reimagining Aid

Asif Saleh, Executive Director of BRAC, will join the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council on Reimagining Aid for 2025–2026, bringing BRAC's expertise to help shape the future of international aid.
The Global Future Council on Reimagining Aid is part of WEF's Global Future Councils network. This network is the world's foremost interdisciplinary knowledge initiative. It brings together over 700 leading experts across 37 themes. Each council serves as a time-bound think tank. They convene leaders from government, business, academia, civil society, and international organisations to generate new ideas and policy insights on global challenges.
As a council member, Asif Saleh will work with global experts to redesign how aid is delivered for maximum local impact in today's rapidly changing world. The council's priority is to find new ways to strengthen local ownership, promote equity, and deliver effective development.
"It is an honour to join the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council on Reimagining Aid," said Asif Saleh. "BRAC's experience, spanning more than five decades, shows the power of community-led solutions. I look forward to sharing these lessons and learning from other global leaders. Together, we can help shape a future aid architecture that is more just, resilient, and responsive to people's needs on the ground."
This appointment highlights BRAC's commitment to transforming aid by promoting community-led solutions and elevating the voices of those affected by poverty and inequality.
