Brac Bank strengthens digital lending outreach with mhadi support services
BRAC Bank has entered into a partnership with Mhadi Support Services Limited to extend digital lending facilities to the organisation's support staff through the bank's digital lending platform, Shubidha App.
Under the initiative, BRAC Bank will enable service employees — including drivers and operational staff — to access instant digital loans, a segment traditionally excluded from formal banking credit systems. The collaboration aims to empower the workforce by making formal credit simple, fast and secure, removing barriers such as paperwork, delays and dependency.
The agreement was signed in Dhaka in the presence of Syed Abdul Momen, additional managing director and head of SME Banking at BRAC Bank, and Md Arikul Islam, managing director and CEO of Mhadi Support Services Limited, along with senior officials from both organisations.
Speaking at the signing, Syed Abdul Momen said, "This partnership reflects BRAC Bank's commitment to inclusive banking. Our digital lending programme 'Shafollo' is built to serve those who keep our economy moving yet often remain beyond the reach of formal financial services. We want to ensure that access to credit is not a privilege but a right — made possible through digital innovation."
Md Arikul Islam said, "Mhadi Support Services is deeply invested in the well-being of its employees. This collaboration with BRAC Bank allows our team members to access credit easily and securely. It is a step toward enhancing their financial stability and overall quality of life."
The partnership highlights BRAC Bank's mission to expand access to finance through technology-driven solutions — bringing formal banking within reach of those who support the country's economic progress from the ground up.
