BRAC Bank recognises top performers in remittance growth campaign
BRAC Bank has honoured 45 coworkers and partners for their exceptional performance in driving international remittance growth and delivering outstanding service to remittance beneficiaries.
The awardees — including branch staff, agent banking personnel, sales teams, and agent banking partners — were recognised in various categories for their contribution to the 'Probashi Poribar' and 'TARA Probashi Poribar' account opening campaign.
These initiatives encourage secure banking channels for remittance inflows and promote savings among beneficiaries to ensure long-term financial stability.
The recognition ceremony was held at the bank's head office, where BRAC Bank Managing Director and CEO Tareq Refat Ullah Khan presented the awards to top-performing employees.
"We aim to strengthen Bangladesh's remittance business and contribute positively to the national economy. Our dedicated coworkers are tirelessly encouraging remittance inflows through legal channels. Today's awardees truly deserve this recognition for their relentless efforts," said Tareq Refat Ullah Khan.
Also present were Md Shaheen Iqbal, CFA, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Treasury, FI, and Corporate and Institutional Banking; Shahrear Zamil, Head of Remittance and Probashi Banking; and other senior officials.
The 'Probashi Poribar Account' and 'TARA Probashi Poribar Account' were designed for families of expatriates, with the latter catering specifically to women. Both offer benefits such as free life insurance, monthly interest, and — for women — complimentary health and maternity insurance.
Customers nationwide can now open these accounts swiftly through BRAC Bank's digital onboarding (e-KYC) platform.
