BRAC Bank partners with PRAN-RFL to offer digital SME loans to product sellers
BRAC Bank has partnered with PRAN-RFL Group to extend its digital lending programme, Shafollo, to the Group's product sellers.
Through the collaboration, sellers under PRAN-RFL Group will be able to access instant digital loans via BRAC Bank's Shubidha app, enabling fast, paperless financing without branch visits. Shafollo is the country's first fully digital SME lending platform, offering seamless credit to small businesses that often operate outside the formal financial system.
The Memorandum of Understanding and promoter agreement were signed on 19 October, 2025 in Dhaka in the presence of BRAC Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Tareq Refat Ullah Khan and PRAN-RFL Group Finance Director Uzma Chowdhury, CPA, along with senior officials from both organisations.
Tareq Refat Ullah Khan said: "This partnership redefines how SME financing works in Bangladesh. Through Shafollo, BRAC Bank is ensuring that access to credit is instant, inclusive, and fully digital. By joining hands with PRAN-RFL Group, we are empowering thousands of small sellers who form the backbone of our economy."
Uzma Chowdhury said: "Our sellers are at the heart of the PRAN-RFL ecosystem. This partnership with BRAC Bank will make financing easier and faster for them, helping expand their businesses and strengthen the entire supply chain."
