TIGS holds Japanese career seminar for nursing students
Techture Institute of Global Skills(TIGS) organised a Japanese Career and Higher Study Seminar in collaboration with Rufaida College of Nursing, aiming to guide nursing students on career and higher education opportunities in Japan.
The seminar sought to raise awareness among nursing students about Japan's growing demand for healthcare professionals and to provide practical guidance on employment and study pathways. These included the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) programme, the Technical Intern Training Programme (TITP), and higher study opportunities at Japanese institutions.
Key discussion areas covered Japanese language preparation through the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) at N5 and N4 levels, visa and documentation requirements, Certificate of Eligibility (COE) procedures, employer interviews, job confirmation processes, and the importance of cultural readiness for working and studying in Japan.
Speakers emphasised the need for early language training and structured skills development to enable nursing graduates to transition successfully into Japan's healthcare and education ecosystem. The seminar drew strong participation from students interested in exploring international career pathways.
Earlier, TIGS organised a similar Japanese Career and Higher Study Seminar at Mount View Nursing College in December, 2025, reflecting the institute's continued efforts to provide nursing students with accurate information and structured guidance on global opportunities.
