Bkash launches remittance offer for Malaysia-based senders

bKash, in collaboration with Malaysia's Touch 'n Go, the Minister and Eastern Bank PLC as the banking partner, has launched a special campaign to encourage Bangladeshi expatriates to send remittances through official banking channels.

Under the campaign, recipients receiving the highest amount of remittance directly to their bKash account via Touch 'n Go will win a Minister product coupon worth Tk 1,50,000 each month. Additionally, five other recipients will win weekly coupons ranging from Tk25,000 to Tk5,000.

The campaign, which began on 1 October, will continue until 31 December 2025. Using Malaysia's popular Touch 'n Go eWallet app, expatriates can instantly and securely send up to Tk2,50,000 per transaction to bKash accounts in Bangladesh, in accordance with Bangladesh Bank regulations.

To qualify for the weekly prize, senders must remit at least Tk10,000 (excluding the government's 2.5% incentive). For the monthly prize, they must remit Tk40,000 or more during the campaign period. Each remittance recipient can win both a weekly and a monthly prize once during the campaign. Coupons can be redeemed via bKash payments.

bKash's remittance service continues to gain traction as an easy, instant and secure channel for sending money home. Currently, remittances can be sent through 110 international money transfer operators (MTOs) across more than 140 countries, and they are settled through 25 leading commercial banks in Bangladesh.

Recipients can use the received remittance for various services, such as bill payments, mobile recharges, educational fees, government payments, and donations, directly from their bKash app.
