BIFPCL distributes educational kits among 853 Rampal students
Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company (Pvt) Limited distributed educational kits to 853 students at four schools in Rampal upazila, Bagerhat, today, 23 August, the company said in a press release.
The recipients were students of Khan Jahan Ali Secondary School, Borni Sayarabad Quinton Secondary Girls School and Borni Sayarabad Secondary School under Gouramva Union, and Shitanath Secondary School under Hurka Union.
The kits included school bags, water bottles, umbrellas, tiffin boxes and other educational supplies for 853 students.
BIFPCL Chief Human Resources Officer (in charge) Anwarul Azim presided over the programme, while Chief Procurement Officer SM Zahid Hasan attended as chief guest.
Palli Sanchay Bank Rampal Branch Manager and Gouramva Union Administrator Md Habibur Rahman, Borni Sayarabad Secondary School Governing Body President Md Mujibur Rahman, and Borni Sayarabad Quinton Secondary Girls School Governing Body President Md Masudur Rahman Mahadi attended as special guests.
BIFPCL Deputy General Manager for Chemistry Tofael Ahmed chaired the programme at Shitanath Secondary School.
Deputy General Manager for Human Resources Md Oziur Rahman coordinated the distribution programmes.
BIFPCL said it had undertaken several community development initiatives in villages near the power plant in Rampal and Mongla upazilas.
Its activities include installing safe drinking-water treatment plants and organising free medical camps, as well as distributing wheelchairs, sewing machines, blankets and bicycles.
