BBA begins three-day training on development project planning and management

A three-day training programme on 'Development Project Planning and Management' began today at the Karnaphuli Tunnel Site Office under the Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA), as part of the Human Resource Development and Capacity Enhancement Project. The programme will run from 15 to 17 August.
The inaugural session was attended by Mohammad Abdur Rouf, secretary of the Bridge Division and executive director of the BBA, as chief guest and resource person. Other resource persons included Altaf Hossain Shekh, director (administration), and Md Washim Ali, executive engineer (river training), both from the BBA.
In his keynote address and training session, the Bridge Division secretary discussed various aspects of project management, including the importance of effective management for successful project completion, the role of a project manager's skills, and strategies to address challenges during implementation. He emphasised systematic project operations and advised that no public inconvenience should occur during the execution of government development projects.
He further stressed the importance of fulfilling assigned responsibilities, strictly adhering to relevant government rules and regulations in project management, and enhancing the skills of officials and employees through regular training.
The training is being attended by the BBA's chief engineer, director (operations and maintenance), and officials from the Bridge Division, the BBA, and the Karnaphuli Tunnel Site Office.
