Banglalink opens safety and wellness week with nationwide walkathon
Banglalink has launched its annual Safety and Wellness Week 2025 with a spirited walkathon held simultaneously in Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, and Bogura on Saturday.
More than 560 employees took part, highlighting the company's focus on health, safety, and workplace well-being.
This year's theme, 'Strength in Action, Care in Every Step', underscores Banglalink's commitment to building a people-centred culture, in which mindful habits and daily actions support both personal wellness and organisational resilience.
Throughout the week, employees will join a series of activities, including health screenings, one-to-one consultations, fire-safety sessions, live drills, mindfulness classes, stress-management workshops, and interactive wellness engagements.
The walkathon began early in the morning, with participants in Dhaka starting from Banglalink's headquarters, Tiger's Den. Chief Executive Officer Johan Buse and senior leadership formally inaugurated the campaign at the Dhaka office.
Ruhul Quader, Acting Chief Human Resources and Administration Officer, said that safety and wellness must be part of everyday routines. 'When employees feel supported to look after their health, the entire organisation becomes stronger,' he said.
Banglalink also extended support to customers following the recent 5.7-magnitude earthquake by offering two hours of free calls to help people contact their families.
