Bangladesh Seed Association holds AGM 2025 in Dhaka
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025 of the Bangladesh Seed Association (BSA) took place today at the BADC Auditorium in Dhaka, attended by members, officials, and key stakeholders.
The meeting commenced with a welcome address from Sheikh Abdul Halim, followed by the screening of a video documentary showcasing the association's key activities. Dr Ali Afzal, Secretary General of BSA, subsequently presented the minutes of the 2024 AGM, which received members' approval.
The financial statements for the 2024–25 financial year were presented and approved. Members appointed the auditor for the 2025–26 financial year and finalised the audit fee. The association's Annual Report 2025 was then presented, followed by an open discussion among the members.
A presentation on the association's online membership software was delivered, outlining the BSA's initiatives towards digital transformation.
In the second session, the newly elected Executive Committee formally assumed office, while outgoing committee members were recognised for their contributions to the association.
In his concluding remarks, the President of the Bangladesh Seed Association reaffirmed the organisation's commitment to strengthening its role in the development, research, and quality enhancement of Bangladesh's seed sector.
