Baraka Patenga Power posts Tk23.75 crore profit in FY25
The 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Baraka Patenga Power Limited, a furnace oil–based power generation company based in Chattogram, took place today, 24 December 2025, at Hotel Royal Mark, Mirboxtula, Sylhet, in a hybrid format.
The meeting was conducted by Mohammad Rana, Company Secretary of Baraka Patenga Power Limited. Proceedings began with a recitation from the Holy Qur'an, after which the Company Secretary welcomed members of the Board of Directors and attending shareholders before initiating the main session.
In his welcome speech, Gulam Rabbani Chowdhury, Chairman of Baraka Patenga Power Limited, expressed gratitude to shareholders for their continued support. He presented an overview of the company's current operations, financial performance, future business plans, growth prospects, and challenges, reaffirming the group's commitment to sustainable development, transparency, and protecting shareholders' interests.
Later, Faisal Ahmed Chowdhury, Managing Director of the company, thanked the directors and shareholders for their cooperation. He reported that during the 2024–25 financial year, the company recorded a consolidated profit of Tk23.75 crore, while consolidated earnings per share stood at Tk1.37.
He also noted that during the year, the company's two subsidiary power plants—Karnaphuli Power Limited and Baraka Shikalbaha Power Limited—earned profits of Tk41.63 crore and Tk14.67 crore, respectively.
Shareholders present at the meeting expressed their views, and various questions were addressed by the Chairman and Managing Director.
At the AGM, a proposal for a 2 per cent cash dividend, along with all other agenda items, was approved.
