BAIUST business week 2026 held to promote entrepreneurial skills
A two-day 'Business Week 2026' took place on 6 and 7 January at Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BIUST), organised by the Department of Business Administration in collaboration with the BIUST Business Club.
The event was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, Brigadier General Md Kamal Uddin Komol, NDC, PSC.
Aimed at fostering creativity, professionalism, and practical business skills among students, Business Week 2026 featured a range of activities, including competitions, SME exhibitions, and cultural programmes. Following the inauguration, the Vice-Chancellor visited stalls showcasing various student-developed products and services.
On the second day, the Vice-Chancellor distributed prizes to winners of various competitive segments. In his address, he encouraged students to develop themselves as future entrepreneurs, providing guidance and motivation to pursue innovation-driven careers.
Students also participated in 'Power Talks' with industry experts and academics, gaining practical insights and real-world perspectives that contributed to their professional development.
Later, the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Professor Dr Md Tahidur Rahman, addressed the students, highlighting the importance of experiential learning in business education.
In the concluding session, the Head of the Department of Business Administration and Adviser to the BIUST Business Club, Associate Professor Dr Fatema Johra, expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests, faculty members, sponsors, and title sponsors — ACT Education and Visa Consultant, Face the People, SEL, Muspana, Regen Academia, Skinno, Mojo, Dot It, and Raindrop — before formally declaring the event closed.
