BADC tops ADP implementation among agriculture ministry agencies
The Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) ranked first among agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture in implementing the Annual Development Programme (ADP) in the 2025–26 financial year, according to a press release.
The achievement was highlighted at an ADP review meeting held Wednesday (29 July) in the corporation's conference room, according to a press release. The press release said the meeting was organised by BADC.
BADC Chairman Md Azizul Islam chaired the meeting, which was attended by project directors and heads of various divisions and wings upon invitation.

Participants reviewed the financial and physical progress of projects from the previous financial year.
Azizul said BADC was closely associated with every aspect of the country's agricultural sector, reflecting the government's trust in the corporation's contribution to agriculture and farmers.
He urged officials to uphold that trust and BADC's longstanding reputation by carrying out their responsibilities more efficiently.
The chairman said the government planned to expand the corporation's operations to accelerate the adoption of smart, modern agricultural management.
He directed officials to work more responsibly and follow specific action plans in implementing the government's priority agricultural initiatives.
These include producing summer onion seeds, increasing domestic jute seed production to reduce dependence on imports and meet farmers' demand, and implementing the national tree plantation master plan.
