IPDC Finance’s H1 profit rises 37.6% to Tk20.7cr
IPDC Finance PLC reported a 37.6% year-on-year increase in net profit after tax to Tk20.7 crore in the first half of 2026, driven by higher net interest and investment income and prudent cost management.
The company's total operating income rose 28.9% to Tk206.4 crore during the January–June period, according to a press release.
Net interest income increased 22.5% year-on-year to Tk116.8 crore, supported by continued asset growth and disciplined lending, while gross interest income grew 5.3% to Tk488.9 crore.
In the second quarter, net interest income rose 22.6% year-on-year to Tk58.7 crore.
Investment income climbed 39.2% to Tk78.6 crore, supported by higher returns from government securities and the expansion of the company's treasury portfolio.
Operating income in the second quarter reached Tk112.2 crore, up 33% from the corresponding period of 2025.
IPDC said around 60% of its operating income came from core financing activities, underscoring its focus on sustainable growth.
As of 30 June, the company's loan portfolio stood at Tk7,417.4 crore, while deposits grew 7.9% from December 2025 to Tk6,716.6 crore.
Its investment portfolio expanded to Tk1,534.1 crore, supported by growth in government securities and other investments.
Earnings per share rose to Tk0.48 in the first half from Tk0.35 in the corresponding period of 2025.
Net operating cash flow per share increased to Tk12.02 from Tk8.12, while net asset value per share stood at Tk17.01 as of 30 June, compared with Tk17 at the end of December 2025.

Ariful Islam, Chairman of IPDC Finance, said the results reflected the strength of the company's core business model, with most of its income continuing to come from financing businesses and individuals.
"IPDC Finance remains committed to creating real economic value and fostering sustainable economic growth," he added.
The financial statements were approved at a meeting of the Board of Directors.
