AIUB welcomes new students at Fall 2025–2026 orientation
The American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) held its Freshman Orientation for the Fall 2025–2026 semester on Monday, 20 October 2025, at the university campus, welcoming newly admitted students along with their parents and guardians.
The event served as an introduction to AIUB's academic policies, rules and regulations, and the wide range of facilities and resources available to support students' educational journey.
Ms Nadia Anwar, founder member and chairman of the Board of Trustees, attended the programme as chief guest and delivered an inspiring address, encouraging students to uphold discipline, dedication and creativity as they embark on their academic life at AIUB.
Prof Dr Saiful Islam, vice-chancellor, and Prof Dr Md Abdur Rahman, pro-vice-chancellor, were also present and shared words of guidance and encouragement for the new semester.
Deans, associate deans, heads and directors of various faculties spoke about their respective departments, outlining the programmes, academic expectations and opportunities offered to students.
Representatives from the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), led by Prof Dr Manzur H Khan, proctor, conducted sessions to familiarise new students with university policies and student support services.
Throughout the day, AIUB's student clubs set up stalls across the campus to share information about their activities and engage with newcomers. The orientation concluded with a lively cultural performance by the AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC) at the Amphitheatre, marking a vibrant and memorable start to the academic year.
