AIUB english club crowns team wizards ignite 2025 champion

The AIUB English Club, under the guidance of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), organised its signature event, IGNITE: The Voice of Change 2025, combining workshops and competitions to nurture creativity, communication, and leadership among students.
The journey began with a preparatory workshop, "Idea to Impact," held on August 19 at the Media Studio, Annex 2, and conducted by Shihab Saqib, Assistant Professor, and Shahrina Afrin Siddique, Lecturer, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The session focused on clarity of expression, confidence, storytelling, and audience engagement, equipping students to present innovative and socially relevant ideas.
The preliminary round, held on 20 August at Annex 3, drew 58 teams from various departments. Each team had two minutes to present before a panel of founding members and executives of the AIUB English Club. Participants explored IGNITE's four themes: technology & the future, creativity & culture, personal growth & well-being, and society & community. Based on scores, eight teams advanced to the Grand Finale.
The finale, held on August 24 at the AIUB D-Building Auditorium, featured five-minute presentations and Q&A sessions, followed by a keynote address from distinguished guest Prof. Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor and Director of OSA.
Team Wizards claimed the championship with their presentation "AI is My Best Friend", showcasing how artificial intelligence has become an inseparable companion for Generation Z in learning, problem-solving, and emotional connection. Team 911 and Team Joykoly secured first and second runner-up positions, respectively.
The event concluded with a vibrant cultural segment of music and dance. Guided by mentors Dipty Rahman and Dr. Mafruha Ferdous, the student-led organising team ensured smooth execution, reflecting AIUB's commitment to fostering creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking among students.
