AB Bank PLC elects new chairman

The Board of AB Bank PLC, in its 813th Meeting, elected Mr Kaiser A Chowdhury, Chairman. 

Mr Chowdhury is an iconic banker with years of experience as CEO and Board Member of several Banks and Financial Institutions. 
He began his career with ANZ Grindlays Bank in 1975 and held key positions for over 24 years before joining One Bank as CEO from 1999 to 2004, and subsequently moving to AB Bank from 2005 to 2012. Later, he joined Meghna Bank as its CEO. 
Mr Chowdhury also worked in various capacities at GSP Finance Company (Bangladesh Limited) and the Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC).

Mr Chowdhury also served as an Independent Director at Premier Bank PLC and AB Bank PLC. 
A writer with 50 publications, he is particularly interested in juvenile literature and has written extensively in this field. In 2013, he received the Bangla Academy Literary Award for contributing to children's literature. 

A postgraduate degree in economics from Dhaka University, combined with extensive and diverse experience, charismatic leadership, and a strong reputation as a prominent figure in the financial industry, will significantly benefit AB Bank.
