Home ministry to get Tk31,039cr in FY26 budget
The total allocations include important state agencies providing security and emergency services such as the police, BGB, Coast Guard and the Fire Service, etc

The government has proposed to allocate Tk31,039 crore for the Public Security and Security Service divisions under the Ministry of Home Affairs in the budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, up only by Tk25 crore from the outgoing fiscal year 2024-25.
The amount of allocation was Tk31,014 crore in FY25.
Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed today (2 June) proposed the allocation while delivering his budget speech on state-run BTV.
Of the total allocation, Tk27,001 crore will go to various directorates under the Public Security division, while the remaining Tk4,038 crore for Bangladesh Police and other departments under the Security Service division.
