8 senior police officials transferred

Eight senior police officials have been transferred, according to a government notification issued today (5 February).
The order, signed by Md Mahbubur Rahman, deputy secretary of the Police-1 branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs, was issued by order of the President.

According to the Additional DIGs of Police Headquarters, MA Jalil and Additional DIG of Special Branch (SB) Md Sayeemuzzaman Faruqi have been transferred to Range DIG office, Dhaka.
Additional DIG of Range Office, Khulna, Mohammad Belayet Hossain has been transferred to Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) as additional commissioner, Additional DIG of Bangladesh Police Academy, Sarda Mohammad Zabedur Rahman to Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Additional DIG of Bangladesh Police Academy, Sarda SM Ashrafuzzaman to Industrial police, it said.
In the same notification, additional DIG, attached to the Range DIG Office, Rajshahi, Md Rashidul Hasan, has been attached to Police Training Centre (PTC), Rangpur.
It said that the transfer order of supernumerary Additional DIG of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Md Rabiul Hossain Bhuiyan, to Anti Terrorism Unit (ATU) as SP was cancelled.
The notification also transferred supernumerary SP of Bangladesh Police Academy, Sarda Saheb Ali Pathan, to GMP as additional SP.
