HSBC launches 9th Export Excellence Awards 2025
Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) has launched the ninth edition of its Export Excellence Awards, aiming to recognise outstanding exporters across four categories this year.
HSBC Bangladesh CEO Md Mahbub ur Rahman inaugurated the programme on Monday (18 August) at the capital's Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel.
"Through this award, we celebrate the achievements of businesses and entrepreneurs across the country and their relentless efforts in strengthening Bangladesh's position on the global stage," Mahbub said at the launch.

"We take pride in being part of their journey as they play a pioneering role in taking 'Made in Bangladesh' to international markets and bolstering our economy," he added.
HSBC Bangladesh Country Head of Communications Talukdar Noman Anwar said local exporters can participate by submitting nomination forms through the bank's website by 18 September. The awards will be handed out in late November or early December, he noted.
Winners will be honoured with the 'Exporter of the Year' recognition.
Launched in 2010, the HSBC Export Excellence Awards honour business enterprises and entrepreneurs for their contribution to Bangladesh's economy, particularly in international trade.
The 2025 edition of the awards is supported by the Ministry of Commerce and the British High Commission in Dhaka, with KPMG Advisory Services Limited acting as technical partner and auditor.
