Dhaka Bank MD Mohammad Maroof resigns
Sheikh Mohammad Maroof has resigned from his post as managing director (MD) of Dhaka Bank.
He submitted his resignation letter on 14 August to the bank's Chairman Abdul Hai Sarker.
Confirming the development to The Business Standard today (17 August), Maroof said, "I resigned due to personal reasons."

Maroof joined Dhaka Bank as MD in October 2024.
Prior to this, he served as additional managing director at City Bank.
